NPR special assign. #3

"Another aspect of their identity being in a virtual world comes from a person's real world." ever since Atari cameout it has drivin people to play more and more video games and branched off from there, even earlier concoles or computer games. in the NPR talk it was very interesting how they talk about online gaming and how it affected our society in a positive way. one of the interviewers or talk show people mentioned how video gaming is a male dominant hooby and that through the years to the present day more females are experiencing with video games. they mentioned that about 70 percent of male players use female characters in online gaming. Now that online gaming has come into our world and people from all over the world play together and communicate with each other. The NPR people said that online gaming helps people interact with each other especially if they are a "lonely" person. People become friends, are nice to each other, hell they even meet up sometimes.

I play Socom Combined Assualt online with a whole bunch of people. there are a lot of nice people and people you cant stand. The main idea is that when i play there are a lot of people who are married that play and i know of people play socom at the age of 40 even. this just shows how addicting games can get and that online gaming is a very popular virtual world to evey gamer. Now that video gaming is becoming more popular because of a varity of different thing you can do like online and such catches the peoples eye. When they were talking about how more and more people are becoming involved, was becasue i think technology is a big part of that and also how online gaming has become a huge success. Eventually we will be able to physically go into the virtual world, well not literally, but technology will have more and more realistic images and graphics that we will almost be caught in the act of the virtual real world instead of just the virtual world.
